Alan and his wife Nina own and operate RainFire Restoration, which specializes in water, mold, fire, and smoke mitigation. Additionally, they provide full reconstruction services to both residential and commercial customers. RainFire works closely with property owners and insurance companies to ensure damaged properties are restored to new status.
The business was started in 2015 with a home equity loan and the help of two sons. Today the company has seven employees and a five vehicle fleet. Their business has grown steadily and they expect exponential growth in the future.
Being self-employed is not new to Alan. He owned an insurance agency for seventeen years before selling it to a multi-national company. He continued working in the insurance industry for another eight years but eventually left to open RainFire Restoration.
Alan has served on numerous volunteer boards. He served as the Chairman of the Salt Lake Valley Board of Health, Chairman of the Environmental Quality Committee, and numerous legislative committees. In 2010 Alan received the Utah Association Health Underwriter of the Year Award.
Prior to working in the insurance field, Alan managed internal operations areas for two financial institutions, and worked for a merchant services provider in helping credit unions throughout the nation manage their point of service programs.
Alan’s greatest joy comes from spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren!
